We are a Local Mission Field. In the heart of South Warren, just a few buildings away from the Lincoln schools. We are in the perfection location for serving and changing our community, with a bus stop in our parking lot, making food assablities possible for so many without transportation.
We are a community outreach, passionate about Jesus, His teachings, and living out His Word in this world. , in the heart of the poorest zip code in Macomb county.
Currently summer 2018 we are providing food for over 1000 families, many are Macomb County residents, and or homeless people. HTFDC is one of the only pantries in Macomb County that provides, Fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, dairy, proteins, dry and canned goods. HTFDC provides for all people in need, being just 1 mile from Wayne County and just a few miles from Oakland County. Receiving between 30,000 and 100,000 pounds of food every WEEK. The need is GREAT the Worker have been few committed Volunteers . HTFDC also helps and provides food for other local pantries and churches in the area. HTFDC also provides for and sends a pop up pantry into the Heart of Detroit, each and every week. Many people belong to other local churches, who send their people to us for food. We have outgrown the church building, we are currently providing for twice as many people than the Hope Center did in the past. HTFDC is the largest panty available in area. We do not require proof of income. HTFDC provides a personal shopping experience for every guest we serve. We have purchased the Cooler and Freezers from Hope Center when they closed. We have a 24 foot refrigerated truck, which is using about 2 tanks of fuel a week at $350 per fill up.
Our estimated budget for the HTFDC, is about $30,000 per month. If you break it down, that is $30 per month or $7.50 per week to feed a family.
In our budget we are including
Rent, Utilities, wages, truck and van, Maintenance, gas, insurance, equipment repairs and maintenance, along with items we need to purchase for the panty that are not donated.
Administrative, maintenance, kitchen, food sorting, food packaging, inventory, it support, clean up/setup, tutoring, mentoring and fundraising.
How can we work together to feed so many people, Fellowship Partners. We are asking other churches to donate monthly to provide for their members that they send to us. Instead of doing a small pantry cupboard in your church taking resources, volunteers and space.
